The Mercantile Library of St. Louis has many many treasures to explore. One day when I was there, I saw this streetlight (of course I would notice it). I was thrilled when I asked it’s origin to learn that it had been a part of the Old Bellerive Country Club which was located in Normandy, Missouri until the early 1970s. They sold the land and that land is now the University of Missouri – St. Louis (where I work). Of course, then I had to include it in my collection.
